[S3-06] The tectonic evolution of the Northeast Asia including Korea and Japan from Permian to Cretaceous

*Chang Whan Oh1 (1. Jeonbuk National Univ., Republic of Korea)

Keywords:Permo-Triassic collision, Jurassic flat subduction, Cretaceous slab roll-back, Northeast Asia

During the Permo-Triassic time, the post collision related igneous activities occurred in the northern Gyeonggi, Nangrim and Kwanmo Massifs, but arc related igneous activities occurred along the margin of the Korean Peninsula (KP). Under the Northeast Asia. the subduction angle decreased during 190-180 Ma, and a flat subduction occurred during 180~145 Ma with igneous activity which moved northwestwards to Beijing. During 145-80 Ma, the igneous activities moved southeastwards from Beijng to KP due to slab roll-back but arc related igneous activities occurred from 128 Ma in Japan.
