[S3P-01] Detrital zircon U–Pb dating of Paleozoic high-pressure metamorphic rocks in northeastern Japan

We determined the U–Pb age-distribution of detrital zircons in psammitic schists from the Motai, Matsugadaira, and Yamagami metamorphic rocks in northeastern Japan to correlate their depositional ages and tectonic relationship. The Motai and Matsugadaira schists show similar age-distribution patterns and Devonian depositional ages. On the other hand, the low-grade Yamagami metamorphic rocks show Cretaceous depositional ages, which are much younger than those of the Motai, Matsugadaira, and high-grade Yamagami metamorphic rocks.
