Keywords:Gabbro, Talc, Metasomatism, Fault

The fact that talc in the fault gouge can reduce the frictional strength and cause creepy slip has been reported in experimental studies and natural examples (Moore and Rymer, 2007, Moore and Lockner, 2011 etc.). In this study, we discover the fault develop in metagabbro with talc in Sasaguri Fukuoka prefecture. The purpose of this study is to clarify the formation process. This study provides new insights into metasomatism of gabbro and faulting process, which can be important in considering crustal strength.
