[26] Numerical and Analytical Study of Wind Turbine Wakes
Keywords:Wind turbine wake, Large eddy simulation, Actuator disk model, A new analytical wake model
Pine forests can reduce wind speed, delay Tsunami progression and reduce Tsunami momentum as fluid dynamic functions. To evaluate these functions, it is necessary to understand effects of their parameter, such as porosity, density, height and width, on their fluid dynamic functions. On the other hand, it is necessary to replace the pine forest to simpleporous object to investigate these fluid dynamic functions in detail by wind tunnel test and computational fluid dynamics. In this study, the pressure drop coefficient of grids used instead of pine forest was measured by wind tunnel test, and effects of porosity, typical size, interval length and number of layers, on the pressure drop were investigated. Furthermore, effects of layered grids on wind speed reduction were tested by wind tunnel test.
