道路橋として，50年以上供用されてきたポストテンション方式ＰＣ橋の撤去に伴い，桁長約30ｍにおよぶ本橋撤去桁を用いて載荷試験を実施し，その耐荷性能を評価した。調査の結果，建設後50年経過した時点での耐荷力は，設計条件を基に解析した値と同等以上のものであり，ＰＣ桁は十分な耐荷性能を有していることが明らかとなった。
