[2111] NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF HOLLOW PRECAST CONCRETE-FILLED STEEL TUBE PILES UNDER UNIAXIAL COMPRESSION
Keywords:compressive behavior、concrete-filled steel tube piles、hollow concrete core、high-strength concrete、finite-element modeling
Three-dimensional finite-element analysis is conducted to investigate the detailed compressive behavior of hollow precast concrete-filled steel tube (hollow CFST) piles. From the calibration and verification of the model with experimental results, proper modeling parameters are discussed. Concrete damage plasticity model (CDPM) successfully captured the axial load (𝑁)–average strain (𝜀) curves of four hollow CFST specimens. The individual contributions of concrete and steel, and the development of confinement are also discussed to clarify the composite action.
