[MO-30] Angiography follow up and intravascular imaging modality indicate optimal endovascular direction in femoropopliteal artery disease (Phalcon Registry)

【Objectives】

Clinical outcomes after femoropopliteal angioplasty using Intravascular Ultrasound(IVUS) have not yet been clear. Furthermore, IVUS predictors of vessel patency in the femoropopliteal artery lesion are uncertain.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between pre- and post-procedure IVUS findings and Angiogram, and predictors of restenosis after femoropopliteal angioplasty.

【Methods】

In this multicenter (16sites) prospective study, 191 femoropopliteal artery lesions were treated with balloon angioplasty (PTA; n=70 ) and Stent placement (Stent; n=121 ) in consecutive patients (71% male; mean age, 73±5 years) between December 2016 and December 2017. All lesions were evaluated with IVUS and angiogram in angioplasty, and all patients are schedulded to receive follow-up angiogram after a year of angioplasty.

【Results】

57% of the patients had diabetes, 76% were claudicant, and 29% were on hemodialysis. Mean lesion length was 16±11cm, and there were 54% chronic total occlusion. One year follow-up is scheduled to end in January 2019.
