Al合金材料の陽極酸化法は素地金属の一部を酸化物皮膜とするため、材質に大きく依存する。組成・調質の他に、二次加工の影響も現れる。実例をいくつか紹介し、陽極酸化技術の発展のために好ましい材料を考えてみる。
