希土類鉄酸化物の一つであるLnFeO₃のLn³⁺の一部をSc³⁺で置換することにより準安定相である，六方晶LnFeO₃の安定化を図る実験を行ってきた．Dy³⁺においてgarnet相の生成を知るに至りその生成理由について調べた．
