擬ポテンシャル法を用いて、チタンなどの遷移金属中の「原子空孔の周りの長範囲の原子変位」を計算し、原子の自己拡散の問題を取り扱う。併せて、チタンの同素変態やオメガ変態などを支配する因子について考察する。
