[S6] S6.Creation of Materials by Super-Thermal Field II: Innovation in Materials Science through Additive Manufacturing（2）

レーザーや電子ビームを用いた局所加熱により生じる溶融と凝固は、粉末床溶融結合（Powder Bed Fusion: PBF）法に代表される付加製造（Additive Manufacturing: AM）などにおける結晶成長や材料組織形成に重要な役割を果たしていることが注目されている。特に、107 K/m以上にもおよぶ極めて大きな温度勾配（超温度場）の発現は、冷却速度106 K/s以上の超急冷、成長速度1 m/s におよぶ高速結晶成長を可能にし、絶対安定性などの特異現象の発現を伴うことから、従来プロセスでは困難であった組織制御などによる新材料創成の基盤としての多様な可能性を有している。本シンポジウムでは、この可能性に注目した学術変革領域研究「超温度場材料創成学」の研究を中心に、AMで発現する特異現象の解明や、AMによる新材料創成など、広くAMによる材料科学の新展開に関する議論と討論を行う。
