[206] Rapid evaluation of localized corrosion rate of Mg alloys based on AE signals

*Kaige WU1, Takayuki SHIRAIWA1, Manabu ENOKI1 (1. The University of Tokyo)

Keywords:Magnesium alloy、Atmospheric corrosion rate、Hydrogen bubble evolution、Acoustic emission

In this work, by linking hydrogen evolution to the corrosion process, acoustic emission (AE) signals of hydrogen bubble evolution were used to estimate the atmospheric corrosion rate of AZ31 alloy.
