組成傾斜試料を用いて連続した異なる組成を持つ微小領域の微細組織・組成の情報を自動取得し、相境界組成ペアを自動抽出する手法によって、従来の100倍以上の高効率でNi-Co-Al-Ti系の状態図を得た。
