[S-MP15] Oceanic and Continental Subduction Processes-II, from structural-petrologic perspective

Mon. May 23, 2016 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM Convention Hall B (2F)

Convener:*Kazuaki Okamoto(Faculty of Education, Saitama University), Chair:Kazuaki Okamoto(Faculty of Education, Saitama University), Hafiz Ur Rehman(Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Graduate School of Science and Engineering, Kagoshima University)

This International session "Oceanic and Continental Subduction Processes-II, from structural-petrologic perspective" is the continuation after P-I, and aims to bring the earth science community dealing with the structural and petrologic processes involved in the oceanic-oceanic, oceanic-continental collisions and subduction and related metamorphic events. Themes such as geological records trapped in the crustal and mantle lithologies, formation of the volcanic arcs, accretion of sediments, their tectonic erosion and recycling of the material along subduction boundaries will be the focus of this session. We expect participants from Japan and overseas to contribute in this session.

9:15 AM - 9:30 AM

*Takeshi Imayama1, Chang-Wang Oh1, Shauket K. Baltybaev2, Chan-soo Park3, Keewook Yi3, Haemyeong Jung4 (1.Department of Earth and Environmental Science, Chonbuk National University, 2.Institute of Precambrian geology and geochronology, Russian Academy of Sciences, 3.Korea Basic Science Institute, Jeonju Center, Republic of Korea, 4.School of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Seoul National University)
