Keywords:geochemistry, geoscience, budget, category

One of the most prominent and unique characteristics of geoscience is the fact that the geoscience is established based on all other fundamental science principals or methodologies, such as physics, chemistry and biology in order to investigate the phenomena related to the earth, space and planets. Present JpGU sections or Kakenhi categories are designed according to the research field, not to the methodologies. It must be very essential to manage those two aspects in order to promote geoscience and to realize high activities of individual scientists, constructing flexible and effective and diverse community and system for effective budgeting. Here we try to discuss the situation of geoscience, focusing on geochemistry as one of the samples.
