[O03-P66] Changing environments on the earth – first termination of overturning in Lake Biwa

Due to warm winter, overturning in Lake Biwa, which happens every year, has stopped this year for the first time. This sort of serious phenomena has not been reported during last 100 years. What is the cause of termination of overturning? How does it effect on the benthic animals and water quality in the deep water of the lake? What are coming on the environments next year or year after next year? We compare the present data with the filed data in the past and analyze them, and then discuss the possible change in future environments of Lake Biwa.
