[U08-12] A proposal from a representative of General Geoscience Sector on a possible direction to future JpGU: actions for domestic activities could be weighted

*Hidenori Kumagai1 (1.Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology)

Keywords:General Geoscience Sector, diversify earth science community, focus to domestic activity

As one of the representative of General Geoscience Sector, here I pointed following items as to be discussed in order to strengthen foundations of JpGU through activation and diversification of domestic earth science community: 1) too much internationalization is to be suppressed, 2) accessibility for the members outside the metropolitan area or the member societies, 3) support for member societies and 4) enhance the function as the "Union." Details described in Japanese (see abstract written in Japanese).
