It has been 15 years since the first issue of Japan Geoscience Letters (JGL), which is a newsletter of JpGU. Fifty-five issues have been published with 157 articles on hot topics in the Earth and planetary science field. The JGL has been a window into various disciplines in Earth and planetary science and is potentially be a good outreach tool to the society. There are many things to do to make the JGL better as the newsletter of JpGU that has been expanding as the largest geoscience community in Japan. However, it is not possible to make them a reality because of limited human resources. In this talk, we will discuss the 15-year publication activity of JGL and its future.
