[BPT04-P07] Foraminifera: either biological organs or chemical factories
Keywords:foraminifer, eukaryotic micro-organisms, natural history, chemical factory
Foraminifers are eukaryotic microorganisms that roots have been traced back to pre-Cambrian Era. The organism adapts to ambient environments with rapid evolutionary rates. Recently, foraminifers are used as quite sensitive proxy organisms for Earth's environments. But, why ? We need to know foraminifers both from biological organs and chemical factories. During my presentation, I would like to figure out natural history of foraminifers. the view points should make clear foraminifers as chemical factories.
