[PEM17-P01] Preparedness for extreme space weather events
Keywords:space weather, satellite positioning, geomagnetically induced current
Space weather is phenomenon in near-Earth space which can impact on human society. It is important to estimate the quantitative influence of space weather for social activities, however, it has not been discussed the relation between the space weather activity and it's impact on each social utility. One of the reasons is discommunications between space weather researchers and users in the society. We have been discussing with space weather information users to make clear the quantitative impact of space weather on the social activity, in addition to discuss plausible maximum level of space weather event in Japan. This study has been executed in the framework of PSTEP since 2015, and we prepare a document to show our results. In this presentation, we show the present results of our discussion.
