DARTS: Space Science Data Archive (ISAS/JAXA)

What is DARTS?

DARTS(Data ARchives and Transmission System) primarily archives high-level data products obtained by JAXA's space science missions in lunar and planetary science, solar-terrestrial physics, solar physics, and astrophysics. In addition, we  provide data services to facilitate use of these data.

What kind of data is published in DARTS?
DARTS publishes data on more than 30 space science missions, as shown in the figure below.

公開データ一覧

【Lunar and planetary science
Observation data of Hayabusa2, Hayabusa, Kaguya(SELENE), Akatsuki, etc are available on DARTS. In addition, the planetary seismic data from Apollo and Viking2 can also be obtained.

かぐやHDTV
Image taken by SELENE (KAGUYA) High Definition Television (HDTV).

【Solar-terrestrial physics
At DARTS, you can download observation data from Arase, JEM-GLIMS, SMILES, Reimei, Geotail, Akebono, etc. are released.

GLIMS
The time history of the splite image taken by JEM-GLIMS.

【Solar physics
Solar observational data by Hinode, Yohkoh, and Hinotori are available. From June 2020, the "Yohkoh Legacy Data Archive", which was prepared at the University of Montana, has also been released.

ようこうレガシー
A series of soft X-ray images of the sun from 1991 to 1999 obtaind by Yohkoh. You can see the sun changes its appearance from the maximum to the minimum and vice versa.

 Let's use DARTS application tools!
DARTS provides various application tools. Please try it.
(For reference) List of our web apps.

FLOW on the Web
Users can view simulated field of view image of exploration satellites such as Hayabusa or Akatsuki with our "FLOW on the Web".
Simulation result by FieLd Of View Visualizer (FLOW). The figure on the left shows the simulation results of Kaguya HDTV, and the figure on the right shows the results of ROSETTA OSIRIS.

JUDO2
By using JUDO2 (JAXA Universe Data Oriented Gen2) web tool, you can compare various sky-images in various wavelengthes including constellation lines or images.
 Let's talk with DARTS members.
