PEPS誌は２０１４年に創刊された，JpGUが運用し，参加51学協会と協力して発行する査読付きオープンアクセス英文ジャーナルで，読者はWebから無料で自由に閲覧できます．
PEPSが扱う研究分野
filed PEPS では地球惑星科学分野の 5つのセクションに加え，分野を超えたテーマの論文を扱います．

  - 宇宙惑星科学- 大気水圏科学
  - 地球人間科学 - 固体地球科学 
  - 地球生命科学 - 横断的研究分野
 
 最近は，自然災害の研究を中心に，
複数の研究分野に渡る横断的研究分野への論文投稿が増加しています．

PEPS では4種類のタイプの論文を出版しています．
   - Review articles      - Research articles 
   - Methodologies       - Papers with full data attached.
 “Papers with full data attached”論文は，研究コミュニティで有効活用するために
  観測等で収集された貴重なデータを科学的根拠とともに提供します．

　PEPS出版論文の約20％が ”Review”論文です．
