EORC researches in the field of earth science such as global climate change, water cycle, atmospheric environment and crustal movements, using satellite data while developing calibration & validation and analysis methods to improve data accuracy of sensors onboard earth observation satellites. GPM project conducts the Earth science research, application research, and calibration & validation in the field of precipitation and water cycle using the precipitation radar onboard earth observation satellites.  EORC is conducting "Research Announcement on the Earth Observations" (EO-RA) in order to contribute to the application research, application demonstration, and social implementation of JAXA satellite data. Next Research Announcement is scheduled to be announced soon. The research duration is planned from early JFY2022 to the end of JFY2024 (up to three years with evaluation for the continuation in the end of each fiscal year).
