About 70% of the Earth's surface is covered by oceans. About 90% of this ocean is called the deep sea, and beneath the seabed, there is even an unknown life zone. We are looking at it. From a place deeper than anywhere else. We continue to explore the unknown possibilities. For the sake of society and its future. 

 The Earth Simulator (ES4) is a multi-architecture supercomputer based on AMD EPYC CPUs, combined with accelerators (NEC's SX-Aurora TSUBASA and NVIDIA's GPU A100), and will therefore lead both further development of conventional research and implementation of new research projects such as AI research.

 The rack panel of the new Earth Simulator expresses the image of the exploration of marine earth science from the perspective of looking up at the sun from under the sea. The image is based on a bold depiction of the ocean as a whole, with marine life and other objects arranged in minute detail, in the hope that the Earth Simulator will lead to new knowledge from both macroscopic and microscopic perspectives.
