[M-TT42] Frontiers in Geochemistry

Thu. Jun 3, 2021 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM Ch.17 (Zoom Room 17)

convener:Tsuyoshi Iizuka(University of Tokyo), Yoshio Takahashi(Department of Earth and Planetary Science, Graduate School of Science, The University of Tokyo), Urumu Tsunogai(Graduate School of Environmental Studies, Nagoya University), Chairperson:Tsuyoshi Iizuka(University of Tokyo), Aya Sakaguchi(Faculty of Pure and Applied Science)

The Earth and planetary sciences have been advanced through utilizing chemical approaches and state-of-the-art analytical techniques. Recent analytical developments allow us to obtain highly precise and accurate data, but at the same time require deepen knowledge on the methodology to use the data correctly and effectively. This session aims at providing an opportunity for various researchers to get together and have a strategic discussion on frontiers in geochemistry and cosmochemistry. In particular, researchers who would like to apply innovative analytical techniques will have chances to discuss with those who work on devising new geochemical methods. We welcome a wide range of cutting-edge geochemical topics, including technical developments, which have a potential for breakthrough of the Earth and planetary sciences. Any presentations related to the direction of future geochemistry and cosmochemistry are also welcome. We expect wide-ranged and future-oriented discussion to further develop geochemistry and cosmochemistry. Note that presentation language in this session can be either English or Japanese.
