[S-CG46] Rheology, fracture and friction in Earth and planetary sciences

Sat. Jun 5, 2021 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM Ch.20 (Zoom Room 20)

convener:Shintaro Azuma(Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, School of Science, Tokyo Institute of Technology), Ichiko Shimizu(Division of Earth and Planetary Sciences, Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University), Osamu Kuwano(Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology), Miki Tasaka(Shizuoka University), Chairperson:Shintaro Azuma(Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences, School of Science, Tokyo Institute of Technology), Miki Tasaka(Shizuoka University)

The aim of this session is to join people from various research area in the earth and planetary sciences and to stimulate discussion beyond the boundaries of each research area. Our goal is to deepen our understanding of dynamics in geosciences by looking over whole areas in the earth and planetary sciences from the viewpoint of PHYSICS OF DEFORMATION, FLOW, AND FRACTURE. We welcome any field (e.g., earthquake, volcano, earth surface, crust, mantle and the core, and other planets and satellites) and any approach (e.g., laboratory experiments, numerical simulations, field observations, and theories).

9:30 AM - 9:45 AM

*Norio Shigematsu1, Masanori Kido1, You Zhou2, Hideki Hyuga2, Yuichi Yoshizawa2 (1.Research Institute of Earthquake and Volcano Geology, Geological Survey of Japan, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology, 2.Multi-material Research Institute, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology)
