[ACG42-P06] Application of an isopycnal-layered model to islands
Keywords:entire island's hydrological processes
An isopycnal-layered model can effectively solve the dynamics of surface runoff, river flow, and oceanic flow seamlessly without determining specific arrangements for each component. Therefore, we presume that it is an adequate model for solving the entire island's hydrological processes using a single model. We applied an isopycnal-layered model into three islands, Yakushima, Iriomoteshima, and Ishigakishima, located southwest of Japan's main islands. To verify the simulation, we used in situ measured vertical profile of temperature and salinity. We aim to use satellite remote-sensing data to confirm the simulation in the next step.
