[HCG25-01] Significance of international webinars on Earth and Planetary Science: Cases of Geography and Geomorphology

*Takashi Oguchi1 (1.Center for Spatial Information Science, The University of Tokyo)

Keywords:Webinars, Scientific significance

The global spread of COVID-19 has made it difficult to hold face-to-face international research meetings, and international webinars became more frequent as a supplementary activity. This is also the case with Earth and Planetary Science. Because such webinars have increased rapidly in a short period of time, they have been done by trial and error. Therefore, it is meaningful to consider the future of international webinars for science. This presentation first introduces the contents of international webinars on Geography and Geomorphology in which the author participated as an invited speaker or a coodinator. Then, the scientific significance and future prospects of international webinars is discussed.
