In Japan as well, COVID-19 has become widespread since the beginning of 2020, making it impossible to hold study groups and seminars that are crowded with people at one venue. Under such circumstances, we started the online seminar "Forum Earth" in May 2020. The graduates of the Department of Earth Sciences, Faculty of Science Ibaraki University, one of the local national universities, were targeted for this forum. The reason for starting the forum was to respond to the desire to study professionally even after becoming a member of social world from a graduate. We used Zoom as a tool, but we also used various SNS such as Facebook, Twitter, and Note in conjunction with it. The themes related to nature and society such as natural disasters, hot spring resources and the Anthropocene were selected. At the same time, a book about the history of the earth was read in turns. After graduating from the university, it is considered that the seminar was exciting for participants of various levels who are active in various fields. In this lecture, we will also discuss the effects and issues of online seminars for working adults.
