In this study, we build up a local government disaster prevention WebGIS by linking historical administrative area dataset with newspaper article dataset. Specifically, for Chikuma City, Nagano Prefecture, we visualize local information on various natural disasters occurred in the past in this era. Binary vector tiles that can speed up rendering make it possible to visualize past natural disaster occurrence locations extracted from newspaper articles on the current WebGIS map. This database and Web application will be provided to various user organizations for research and development, regardless of whether they are academia or private companies.
