[MIS23-08] Snow depth distribution of Mt. Norikura in the Northern Japan Alps

Rui Tanaka1, Motoshi Nishimura2, Akihiko Sasaki3, *Keisuke Suzuki4 (1.Shinshu University, 2.National Institute of Polar Research, 3.Kokushikan University, 4.Research Center for Mountain Environment, Shinshu University)

Keywords:winter type pressure distribution, leeward slope, south coast cyclone

It is considered that the snow depth is larger on the leeward slope than on the windward slope. This is due to the effect of the snow being blown off from the windward side and the snowdrift on the leeward side. In this study, we discuss the difference in snow depth between the western and eastern slopes of Mt. Norikura in the Northern Japan Alps.
