[MSD39-06] A Study of LoRa-based Nanosatellites Internet of Things
キーワード:Nanosatellites, Internet of Things, LoRa Communication, Satellites IoT, Satellite Engineering
An IoT (Internet of Things) communications is the networking of intelligent devices which enables data from remote assets. It covers broad ranges of technologies and applications which connect to physical world allowing information to be transferred. Many current wireless communication technologies used to establish connectivity. In this paper, we study and discuss conceptual design and development of LoRa-based nanosatellites as part of IoT infrastructure or called satellites IoT. Then several contributions to our approach can be listed as follow First, we utilized nanosatellite as one of sensor nodes in IoT platform, which equipped with several sensors. They can monitor, collect and transfer data from space segment to ground stations. Second, nanosatellite will provide space-based communication among IoT devices that have limited coverage on terrestrial networks or satellites as IoT gateways. Mechanisms of the LoRa communication system, both the adaptive data rate (ADR) technique and medium access control (MAC), as well as the Doppler effect, will be studied to design and develop to suit the application of nanosatellites IoT. As to the fact that a space-based IoT communication platform requires a network of satellites, the development of LEO (Low Earth Orbit) satellite constellation to provide continuous coverage will be studied as well. Therefore, using nanosatellite technology based is an essential and gainful knowledge which can contribute to the STEM education kits on nanosatellites IoT for satellite engineering education.
