In Shimokita Geopark, local resident did not have enough disaster prevention awareness because of relatively much countermeasure for assumed disasters. So Shimokita Geopark Promotion Council strives to maintain and improve local resident's disaster prevention awareness by explanation of the example of hazards and countermeasures in other area and the disaster occurrence mechanism.
