[O05-P02] Skills required to work at the science museum

A variety of human resources work at the Science Museum. There are not only people who plan permanent exhibitions, special exhibitions, events, programs for schools, but also people who perform demonstrations and explanations, technical staff, receptionists, public relations, general affairs, accounting, and information system personnel. Shops, restaurants, cafes, security, cleaning, etc. may be outsourced to external organizations / institutions, but such tenant staff are also important to support the science museum. And unlike employees, human resources such as volunteers are also indispensable to science museums. In this way, the science museum is consist of human resources with various roles. Therefore, staffs working at the science museum are not only the person have a doctor's degree or a master's degree, but also those who have bachelor's degree from liberal arts or those who have professional skills.
In this presentation, we will consider the skills required to work at the science museum and propose the skills that will be needed more in the future.
