[O07-P20] An evaluation of artificial landform in Chiba prefecture called “Kawamawashi”

*Kodai SHIBUYA1 (1.Yokohama Science Frontier High School)

Keywords:Kawamawashi, artificial landform, Kazusa region, mudstone

Kawamawashi landform is an artificial landform constructed in the Kazusa region of central Chiba Prefecture, where the curved part of a river is cut off and the detached old river channel is used as a paddy field. As the man-made landforms peculiar to the Kazusa region, including the Kawamawashi landforms, are gradually being lost, we attempted to evaluate them in order to utilize the Kawamawashi landforms. The geological features and locations in the Kazusa area were summarized by literature survey, and a field survey was conducted to one of the Kawamawashi landforms, and a comparison of the Kawamawashi landforms was made using a rapid survey map and past aerial photographs. As a result, it became clear that it is difficult to evaluate the geological features of the river-forming landforms more than "mainly mudstone".
