[O07-P29] Studies of the SDGs on the Sanriku Geopark. The Aoba Lake and Shimamori Basin.

The Sanriku Geopark covers the area from Aomori Prefecture through the coast of Iwate Prefecture and down to Miyagi Prefecture. Hachinohe City Marine Science Museum is located on the northern edge of that and to that belongs to the Mariento Chikyu Tanken club. We learned about Sanriku Geopark from 2019. And we announced this activity at the jpGU2019 and the Japanese Geoparks Network Meeting at Ohoita and jpGU2020.
The Aoba Lake and Shimamori Basin are located south of Hachinohe City (Figuer1). These were newly registered on the Sanriku Geopark in 2020. The history of geology and water control can be seen at the Aoba Lake and Shimamori Basin has beautiful countryside and history of agricultural cultivation.
SDO (Sustainable Development Objectives), a set of targets adopted by the United Nations in September 2015. Now, we must strive to achieve SDGs with society as a whole for the future of humanity. Geopark activity is very compatible with the SDGs. We felt that Sanriku Geoparks efforts toward SDGs were few. And so we examined the relationship between each geosite and the SDGs with GEO-KAMISHIBAI. GEO-KAMISHIBAI helps us understand the history of the land and people's lives.
We made 3GEO-KAMISHIBAI. The titles are as follows: Rice from Yomari-Dam? Meander in Niidagawa. Water springs of Shimamori Basin (Pictur1). The relationship between each title and SDGs is shown below.
Rice from Yomasari-Dam ? : Goal 6: Clean water and sanitation. Goal 2: Zero hunger.
Meander in Niidagawa : Goal 6: Clean water and sanitation. Goal 15: Life on land.
Water springs of Shimamori Basin: Goal 6: Clean water and sanitation. Goal 11: Sustainable cities and communities.
Unfortunately, we can't exhibit GEO-KAMISHIBAI because of a Corona-Virus (COVID-19) problem. We understood the relationship between people's lives and their history, geocite and SDGs in here by conducting a survey and the making of GEO-KAMISHIBAI. We would like to publicize what we have learned using GEO-KAMISHIBAI.
