[O07-P51] Consideration of brachiopod biota change events in the Kuzu limestone layer

*Omi Kono1, Tokio Chiba1 (1.Kaijo senior high school)

Keywords:Geology, Fossil, Paleoenvironmental estimation

In Kuzuu, Sano City, Tochigi Prefecture, which is the area covered in this study, the restoration of the sedimentary environment of upper limestone and lower limestone has been elucidated using rock flakes. However, the cause and timing of dolomite formation in the central layer has remained unclear for a long time, and conditions directly indicating deposition environment have not been confirmed. Therefore, we investigated the species of limestone limbs of the upper and lower layers, which had been suggested to have been of different species, using formic acid treatment, and examined the presence or absence of differences in the upper and lower layers. We will clarify the change events of species during deposition and ultimately identify the factors of dolomite formation in the middle layer.
