[O07-P73] Determining the Properties of Seyfert Galaxies
Keywords:Spectroscopic observation, Emission line, Active galactic nucleus
Spectroscopic observations of ten Seyfert galaxies were performed at the Bisei Observatory in Okayama Prefecture and the data was analyzed using “BeSpec” software. The width and intensity of Hα, Hβ, HeⅡ, [NⅡ], [OⅢ] and [SⅡ] emission lines were calculated. The result was the, type 1 galaxies products the so wide emission lines of hydrogen and helium. In contrast, it was found that type 2 galaxies produced emission lines for helium, sulfur and nitrogen which were slightly longer than the overall sample mean. In conclusion, it was determined that hydrogen and helium are found in the cores of Seyfert galaxies whereas there oxygen, nitrogen and sulfur are distributed throughout the fringe areas of Seyfert galaxies. Furthermore, we categorized the type of 6 galaxies again.
