[PEM14-11] On the relationship between the cross-helicty and the residual energy in the solar wind MHD turbulence: A phenomenological approach

It is known that solar wind turbulence is well characterized by the cross-helicty and the residual energy[Tu+Marsch, Space Sci. Rev., 1995; Bruno+Carbone, Living Rev. Solar Phys., 2013]. A simple linear relation derived by a MHD turbulence model[Tu+Marsch, JGR, 1993] has been compared with the observational studies, while the observational data is usually scattered around the line [e.g., Bruno et al, Ann. Geophys., 2007; Perri+Balogh, GRL, 2010]. Recently, the Langevein equation is applied to model the Alfvenic fluctuations with non-equilibrium cross-helicty and residual energy. Although circularly polarized waves are used, the Langevin model can reproduce the linear relation mentioned above. In this talk, the extension of the previous Langevin model is discussed. Non-circularly polarized, multi-dimensional Alfven wave solution [Primavera et al, ApJ, 2019] is applied to consider deviation from the linear relation.
