There are many kinds of training program for natural disaster prevention officers in Japan. However, when it comes to volcanic disaster prevention, only few training programs exist because of the low frequent disaster. On the other hand, national and local government officers in Japan have to change their positions in a few years. Then it is very difficult for them to be specialists against volcanic hazard. In this research, we performed some types of training programs for volcanic disaster prevention officers from all over Japan, and questionnaire survey was conducted in the training programs. As a result, we could reveal the request from natural disaster prevention officers in Japan. From their request, we could re-build up a new type of training programs and method of volcanic disaster prevention.
