[SVC28-01] Reappraisal of the deformation model for Mt. Kusatsu-shirane and Mt. Asama

*Hiroshi Munekane1 (1.Geospatial Information Aurhotiry of Japan)

Keywords:Mt. Ksatsu-Shirane, Mt. Asama, crustal deformation

In this study, the deformation model for the displacements around Mt. Kusatsu-shirane and Mt. Asama developed by Munekane (2020) is reappraised. The model by Munekane (2020) fit the observed displacements relatively well. However, there exists apparent correlations between some model parameters, which suggests the model contains redundant parameters. A current working model consists of 1) a deep dike in the northwest of Mt. Kusatsu-shirane, 2) a deep sill under the western frank of Mt. Asama, and 3) a shallow dike under the western frank of Mt. Asama. It is found that the intensities of 1) and 3) are correlated with the volcanic activities of each volcano.
