Seikei Gakuen is an educational corporation which includes elementary school, junior high school, high school, and university (graduate school). From the beginning of Seikei Gakuen (1912), we have had educations and learning for ESD; e.g., practical training/studies of agricultural works and observations of nature. In particular, the meteorological observatory has continued weather-monitoring at Kichijoji/Tokyo since 1926. In order to increase the ESD activities, Seikei Education and Research Center for Sustainable Development (ERCS) has been established in April 2018. Seikei Gakuen has also joined the UNESCO Associated Schools Project Network in November 2019.
In this presentation, we will introduce our ESD activities, in particular, environmental studies to exchange information about study programs, educational tools, and so on with participants in the session. We hope enhancement of organized activities in the field of the Earth and Planetary Sciences for SDGs.
