The International Arctic Scientific Committee (IASC) is one of the international academic societies to which the Science Council of Japan is a member. So far, representatives of Japan have been dispatched to scientific management conferences, etc. to discuss scientific issues in the Arctic, propose research implementation through international cooperation, train young researchers, collaborate with indigenous people, and respond to social demands. Has contributed to the pursuit of science and the efforts of sustainable Arctic society and international cooperation. In this talk, we will introduce the recent activities of the International Accounting Standards Committee (IASC) on the rapidly changing environment and social changes in the Arctic. In the general discussion at the end of the session, we will discuss the promotion of future international activities through the Science Council of Japan (SCJ).
