In elementary school science and social studies, getting immersed in nature and observing targets that students have interests in are important since field experience can link classroom learnings with real-life phenomena. However, school excursion involves a certain amount of time, cost, and measures for security and safety, and selecting and executing trip events are becoming more and more difficult for educational institutions. Therefore, we used 360 camera to capture VR images and movies of geologically important sites and Geoparks, and released them on a website ("Virtual Experience Learning", https://virtualexperiencelearning.net/) on a trial basis. A much wider view angle of 360-degree contents compared to flat, conventional images enables students to comprehend the 3D structure and scale of targets. These contents can also realize virtual trip to inaccessible distant locations with safety and security. Our presentation will involve the application of 360-degree contents and "Virtual Experience Learning" website that complement physical field trip.
