Education Pertaining to Disaster Risk Reduction

Various types of materials for teaching about disasters have been published or produced recently, such as textbooks, guidebooks, pamphlets, and movies. These educational materials are expected to be of use for all kinds of people who are vulnerable to such disasters, including the aged, infants and young children, and non-Japanese. In this study, universal design in teaching materials will be discussed according to the results of a documentary survey.
