According to the 2020 census, it was confirmed that the total number of farm households was less than 2 million . In addition, indicators such as employment of farm household members, abandoned cultivated land, and land owing non-farmers were rejected. This shows that the premise that "farmers are the main users of agricultural resources" is changing drastically.The purpose of this study is to examine how the generational change of the farmer population has progressed in Tohoku region. Futhermore, the relationship between utilization of labor force of farmers and the succession of agricultural resources will be examined.
