[O05-09] Assumption of Tsunami Disaster Use of AR, VR, and 3D Printer (Practice of Junior High School Science)

★Invited Papers

*Mitsuhiro Yano1 (1.Junior High School Attached to Faculty of Education, Wakayama University)

Keywords:AR, 3D printer, VR goggles

In junior high schools, the new curriculum guidelines were introduced in the 2021 school year.
The study of earthquake disasters is of great interest in Wakayama Prefecture, where major disasters are expected.
It is very important for elementary and junior high school students to think about what kind of disasters have happened in the past and what kind of disasters are likely to happen in the future.

In my lecture, I intend to report on my classroom practices this year with regard to the following topics.
However, please note that some of the contents are planned to be put into practice after the time of writing this paper.

1.Students design their own houses using the CAD application on the iPad.
2.Design complex objects using VR goggles.
3.Print the designed data on a 3D printer.
4.Students use the iPad AR object creation app to represent tsunamis and rising sea levels.
Everyone in the class will place their own printed house on a large map and observe it using AR.
