[O08-P08] RESEARCH OF FUKUI EARTHQUAKE FAULT Ⅹ ~ Consideration earthquakes at the western margin fault ~

*Mari Kawabata1, *Yuito Nakase1, *Yuta Hirobe1, *Hina Horikawa1 (1.Fukui prefectural Fujishima High School)

Keywords: the third-class less earthquake zone, strain rate, slow slip, the western part of the Fukui Plain

The 1948 Fukui Earthquake (M7.1) caused enormous damage to Fukui prefecture.Recently,an earthquake with M5.0 occured on September 4, 2020, there was an earthquake with a maximum seismic intensity of less than 5 with the epicenter in the western part of the Fukui Plain. Previous studies have shown that there is a fault zone from the Kawai area (Fukui city) to the Takefu(Echizen city) area. Using the GSI Maps mapping function and software for determining the epicenter(Win-system), we estimated the location of the epicenter of an earthquake that occurred in Fukui Prefecture in the past . In this study, we focused on the epicenter and strain rate that occurred in Fukui Prefecture, and concluded that the M5.0 earthquake occurred in the third-class less earthquake zone.
