[O08-P09] Simulation of Zao Volcano
Keywords:Volcano, Zao, Eruption
Zao, including Mt. Goshikidake, there was a period of time in recent years when entry to the mountain was restricted due to concerns about increased volcanic activity. However, the volcanic activity has now subsided and the area has returned to its normal state of prosperity. However, the harsh reality is that volcanic disasters still occur. In this study, we made a scaled-down model of Mt. Zao as if the volcano had erupted, conducted experiments of lava ejections, and measured the speed and direction of the lava flow after it erupted. By examining these results, we thought that we could link them to "safe and efficient evacuation" in the event of an actual volcanic disaster.
