Keywords:Mars, duststorm, greenhouse effect , luminance, model experiments

The purpose of this study is to investigate the mechanism and conditions of the global dust storm warming the atmosphere of Mars by model experiments. In order to investigate these, the effect of dust storm density and composition on the temperature change of the ground surface and the upper atmosphere was investigated by model experiments. In addition, the temperature of the upper atmosphere and the amount of heat reflection on the surface of the dust storm were measured and compared. As a result, the greenhouse effect caused by the dust storm is caused by the absorption of solar radiation by the dark colored minerals inn the rocks and hematite on the surface of Mars that make up the dust storm. It can be considered that the dust storm has a large greenhouse effect when the dust density is low and a sunshade effect when the dust density is high.
